I’ve read the book “Failing Forward” along with many other personal/self improvement books. These books are written by people who have failed hard, picked themselves up and became a huge success. After a little self-reflection I discovered…I rarely fail. Not because I am good at everything, but because I don’t push the limits, I don’t attempt to do things I am not good at because I don’t want to fail. I now know failure means we’re trying something new, learning more, challenging ourselves and growing.

Lots of people get intimidated by potential failure or are unsure of the steps they need to take to reach their goals (so they set them too low). Some goals may just be written off as impossible. Those who . . . → Read More: Is Your Goal BIG Enough?

Does exercise have any effect on mental health? When I began exercising, I did so because I knew I needed to. I had been couch bound due to a bad Rheumatoid Arthritis flare up and had literally lost most of the muscle I had in my lower body. On top of that…because of the lack of exercise, my middle had grown. So, while I knew for my health I needed to, there was a bigger part of me (pardon the pun) that just wanted to look better.
I did get in better shape and yes, I do look better, but the REAL . . . → Read More: Does Exercise Effect Mental Health?

HEY TYLER! – I AM NOT LOSING WEIGHT
Don’t fear citizen- and get off the scale. Too many people have “weight loss” associated with attractiveness. I’ve had more than a few clients complain that even though they’re losing inches, they still weigh the same.
“Well,” I ask them, “Who CARES if you still weigh the same, if you LOOK and FEEL better?” Nobody is going to size you up on the street and ask you to step on the scale before they start to talk to you- no, they may glance up and down and notice you look different. They may even ask . . . → Read More: Hey Tyler – I Am Not Losing Weight!
