Hey Team, today marks ninety days I’ve used P90X- feel free to head to the “Results” tab up above to see my transformation.
My experience with P90X was absolutely amazing. Pre-X, I thought I was in pretty good shape, being on a high school wrestling team and all, and I only did the workouts to stay in shape after graduation. Little did I know it would completely kick my butt and change my entire life(not exaggerating). NOW I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been, and I know I still have more to improve on. I’ve never felt better mentally and I have even more self confidence than I did before. My mom and I used to laugh about our “mandatory mirror time” after each workout where we basically just flexed and felt cool- now I know it really helps me determine what days I need to push myself extra hard or what areas I’m slacking in, as well as boosting confidence for the rest of the day. I’m not shallow or full of myself, but anybody who is actively trying to put on muscle knows how important it is to check your progress and how good it feels to see results.
Speaking of results, if you have never done P90X make sure you take pictures. Even this last thirty days I felt like I wouldn’t see any results (just like every time) but the pictures showed me, once again, I just need to trust myself. Even though it doesn’t FEEL like I’ve changed, doesn’t mean I haven’t. if you go look at my 1-30-60-90 days, in-between photo sessions I thought nothing was different from the month before. Obviously I was wrong. If you’re in the midst of your 90 days and you haven’t taken your pictures and wonder why your motivation keeps dropping through the floor- here is your solution. Your pictures are just as important as your chin-up bar or weights.
Back on track, now- Over the last ninety days I’ve changed physically and mentally more than I ever thought I would. Here I thought I’d maintain what I had and now in hindsight I never had what I thought I did to start with. I’m sure in another ninety days I’ll say the same thing about today as I am about ninety days ago. I think everyone I’ve talked to who has done the whole program just loves it. The thing I’ve said most during all of my talks is ”I wish I had started a year ago.” and I really mean it. If I had started a year ago.. man.. I’d be unstoppable.
That’s all for now, folks- just thought I’d give you a taste of a “real” review from someone who has actually done it. Too many blogs online whine about how the workout didn’t show them the results they wanted, how the photos in the infomercials are photo shopped or how they’re not of real people. Well, mine are up (I’m real), I did the workouts properly(and yes, saw results) and have NOT photoshopped any of my pictures(although truthfully I retook them until I figured out how to flex properly).
And… that’s it.
